This animated video was produced as part of a presentation on Asian Carp, created for Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s Asian Carp Prevention Team. Its goal is to help audiences better understand the life cycle of the invasive Grass Carp. Using custom illustrations, motion graphics, and animation, our video production brings this aquatic species’ journey to life, from spawning to adulthood.

As water flow increases in spring, Grass Carp begin their migration, laying up to one million eggs per season. The animation follows their development as eggs drift downstream, hatch into larvae, and grow into plant-feeding juveniles in wetland habitats before reaching maturity and restarting the cycle.

This informative animation provides a clear visual representation of the Grass Carp life cycle, making it an engaging educational tool for scientists, conservationists, and the public.
